Our Bison and Elk hides are hand-selected each year during the most prime hair season in late fall/early winter. We look at hair coloration, hair quality, minimal scars or scuffs, minimal leather damage from skinning, and our field harvest process is clean and prevents scuffing at harvest. Also, the animal spending it's life on clean pasture makes a significant difference in the cleanliness and smell of the hide. Only about 5% of our hides each year will qualify one of these luxurious hair-on tanned hides for a home. Just like everything else, we put a lot of time and effort into these to ensure they're the highest quality anywhere, leaving you ultra-satisfied with it's long-lasting beauty.
