Our goats are 100% Grass-fed and Finished; grazing and moving on to fresh grass every few days. The first Wisconsin frost signifies “frosting season” when the grasses slow their growth and pack nutrients in tight making every bite 2, 3, even 4 times more valuable. Frosting Season is fattening season. Goats are tough and their ability to survive on extremely low quality forage also inhibits their ability to eat highly quality forage and fatten well.
