Meat & Bean dish that is a favorite at every gathering! Real comfort food.
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 1 1/2 to 3 Hours Depending On Cooking Method
- 1 Large Can Pork and Beans
- 1 Can Kidney Beans
- 1 Can Butter Beans
- 1 lb Ground Bison, Elk, or Beef
- 1/4 to 1/2 lbs Bacon (Cut-Up)
- 1 Medium Onion Diced
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Ketchup OR BBQ Sauce
- 2 tsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Brown ground meat & fry or bake bacon. Add onion, salt and pepper to taste.
Combine beans, meat, and remaining ingredients in casserole uncovered for 50 min. at 250-300 degrees or simmer in crock-pot on low for 3 hours or high for 1 1/2 hours
