Very rarely needed, but if it is needed it is worth the price to pay to have the shipments protected in case of delivery delays and the dry ice would have time to completely evaporate and the delay long enough for the meat to thaw and/or become unsafe. Have come close to possibly needing this service only once, but while the dry ice was gone, the liquid around edges of the packages of meat had begun to thaw, the meat itself was still rock hard, frozen. Really was not wanting to go through the process of having to have the meat reshipped. Still, in the event it is needed, yes, I'm happy to pay for the service."
